Educational Visits

Year 1 had a wonderful day exploring our local area and its excellent heritage. We spent the morning exploring the grounds Middleport pottery museum, looking inside a bottle kiln and looking at the huge steam engine! Next, we made our very own bottle kilns using clay. This was so much fun and our creations were fantastic. Finally, in the afternoon, we had a virtual tour to see how Middleport pottery is used today! We loved watching the workers do what they do best. We were fascinated by how the prints are added to the teapots. Wow! Today has made us proud to be a part of Stoke-on-Trent.
