Year 2 trip to Norbury Junction
Founded in 2005 at the already established location of Norbury Junction, Staffordshire, Norbury Wharf Limited has developed a successful marina and boatyard offering hundreds of people a year an experience not to be forgotten on our fantastic canal network.
On Wednesday, Year 2 experienced life on board the ‘Shropshire Star’ barge travelling along the Shropshire Canal.
The children had an opportunity to explore the countryside as we travelled along the Shropshire Canal. We drew images of what we could see out of the barge window and tried to spot the different species of wildlife the crew told us about.
We enjoyed our lunch on board and sang songs as we travelled back towards the marina.
